Edward J. Gruener

Edward J. Gruener, 87, of Avon, formerly of Montecello, passed away June 2, 2014. He was born February 25, 1927 to the late Edward G. and Zoe (Bush) Gruener in Hammond, IN. He was a 1949 graduate of DePauw University. He was a Manufacturer's Representative for Buckstaff Company in Wisconsin for 20 years. While living in Montecello, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Elks and the Tippecanoe Country Club. Ed is survived by his wife, Carolyn B. (Bauer) Gruener (whom he married on January 23, 1970); two sons, Kurt (D.B.) and Bret (Christa) Gruener; and a daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Jacobs; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Gruener, Cale, Will and Nick Jacobs; and 6 great grandchildren, Ellie, Luke, Carter, Zoe, Drew and Bowen Jacobs.
