Isabelle LaRoche Henry, 96, of Plainfield, formerly of Washington, IN, passed away May 25, 2014. She was born October 27, 1917 to the late Charles and Alice (Penna) LaRoche in Clinton, IN. In 1933 she received the Lord as her personal Savior. This was the turning point in her life that caused a spiritual desire to further her education. She graduated from Trinity Gospel Bible School in Evansville, and then went to God's Bible School in Cincinnati where she received her Theology Degree and later her AB Degree was awarded. In 1946 she went to Egypt as a missionary for 10 years in church work and working in a Bible School. She said this was the thrill of her life helping people come to the Lord. In 1974 she married Rev. Eugene Henry and became a mother to David. David had asked his Grandma LaRoche if she would pray the Aunt Issy would come to live with Daddy and him. An answer to his prayer! After 30 years of ministry together Bro. Henry passed away. Now his wife has gone on to meet him. A quote from Charles Wesley: "Servant of God, well done! Thy earthly warfare's past; the battle's fought, the race is won, and thou art crowned at last". Besides her husband Eugene, Isabelle was preceded in death by a step-son, David Henry; four brothers, Charles, Joseph, Harold and Robert LaRoche; and three sisters, Emma Harvey, Alice Henry and Ann Dawson. She is survived by a step-daughter, Alice Jean (Meredith) Porterfield; and five brothers, Donald (Donna), Frank (Marie), James, George and Marvin LaRoche.
