Ruth E. Gibbs

Ruth E. Wear Gibbs, 80, of Avon, passed away August 3, 2008. She was born July 31, 1928 to the late Roy and Ollie (Price) Wear in Indianapolis, IN. She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church. She worked as a seamstress at L.S. Ayers for 30 years. She is survived by a niece, Donna S. (Lin) Hess; two nephews, Tony and Steve Gibbs; three cousins, Cynthia B. (Paul) Kern, Patricia A. Price and Geoffrey (Janis) Price; a sister-in-law, Peggy J. Gibbs; 7 great nieces and nephews and 11 great great nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Gibbs. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday August 6, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday August 5, Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to the church.
