Mary Amy Thompson

Mary Amy Thompson, 92, of Plainfield, passed away May 16, 2014 in her residence. She was born June 22, 1921 in Bridgeport, IN to the late Windfield and Susie Cress. Amy was a 1939 graduate of Ben Davis High School and member of Plainfield Friends Meeting. She retired from Link-Belt in 1982 after 20 years as a printer/packager. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 20, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Monday, May 19, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Thompson; daughter, Janice Kay Price Tague; siblings, Wilson, Bee, Russell, Tom, Charles, Raymond Cress and Ora Brown. Survivors include her son, Jeff (Carol) Thompson; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several step grandchildren.
