James E. Conover, 69, of Plainfield, passed away May 11, 2014. He was born October 14, 1944 to the late Arvin and Emma (Murrell) in Columbia, KY. He was a charter member of Christ Church in Plainfield. He worked for RA Fawcett and Associates in Avon for 22 years. Later he was a dual Machinist and Millwright for Olin Brass Corp. for 10 years retiring in 2003. He also was a licensed thoroughbred owner and trainer in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Jim is survived by his wife, Arlene (Fisher) Conover; two sons, James E. II and Nicholas E. (Erin) Conover; a daughter, Angela M. (Morris) Mott; a brother, LeRoy Conover; two sisters, Geneva Melson and Barbara York; and 4 grandchildren, Jace and Abigail Mott and Cora and Jack Conover. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 16, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, May 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
