James E. Conover

James E. Conover, 69, of Plainfield, passed away May 11, 2014. He was born October 14, 1944 to the late Arvin and Emma (Murrell) in Columbia, KY. He was a charter member of Christ Church in Plainfield. He worked for RA Fawcett and Associates in Avon for 22 years. Later he was a dual Machinist and Millwright for Olin Brass Corp. for 10 years retiring in 2003. He also was a licensed thoroughbred owner and trainer in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Jim is survived by his wife, Arlene (Fisher) Conover; two sons, James E. II and Nicholas E. (Erin) Conover; a daughter, Angela M. (Morris) Mott; a brother, LeRoy Conover; two sisters, Geneva Melson and Barbara York; and 4 grandchildren, Jace and Abigail Mott and Cora and Jack Conover. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 16, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, May 15 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church, P.O. Box 894, Plainfield, IN 46168
