Macklin (Mack) J. Swinney

Macklin (Mack) James Swinney, 27, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 18, 2014. He was born May 4, 1986 in Indianapolis. Mack was a 2004 graduate of Ben Davis High School. He enjoyed surfing with friends and family at Dale Hollow Lake, playing frisbee golf and spending the month of May at the Indy 500. Spending time with his family and friends were the most important things to Mack.  His memberships include St. John Evangelist Catholic Church (126 W. Georgia St) where a Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, April 22, at 9:30 am. Visitation will also be at the church on Monday, April 21, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Swinney. Survivors include his father, Scott Swinney; mother and step-father, Maureen and Christopher Schaeffer; sisters, Madeline, Madison and Maryn Swinney; step-sister, Mary Schaeffer, step-brother, Jonathon Schaeffer; grandparents, Donald and Kathleen Murphy and Dorothy Swinney; fiance, Callie Bontrager; niece and nephew, Amyah and Benjamin Dixon; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
