Finous Rodgers Jr., 82, of Belleville, passed away March 31, 2014. He was born July 23, 1931 to the late William and Zeulah (Hunt) Rodgers in Webster County, KY. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a model maker for Stewart-Warner Corp. for 47 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #162 where he was Past Master, and an honorary member of the Plainfield, Belleville and Stilesville Masonic Lodges; the Terre Haute Scottish Rite, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Finous is survived by his wife, Imah J. (Thurmond) Rodgers; a son, David E. (Kim) Rodgers; a daughter, Sheila A. (Charles) Henderson; a sister-in-law Esther Rodgers; three grandchildren, Brandy and Travis Rodgers and Erin Henderson; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Jessica Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at Hardees, and also family dinner nights. He was well-known and highly respected throughout the community and he will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, April 4, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday, April 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital For Children.
