Harold C. "Chet" Rumple

Harold C. "Chet" Rumple, 87, of Plainfield, passed away March 5, 2014. He was born May 3, 1926 to the late Amos and Jessie (Parrish) Rumple in Bloomington, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He worked as a salesman for Hoffman Specialty Co. for 26 years retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Danville American Legion and the Plainfield Eagles. Chet is survived by two sons, Robert B. (Shirley), and Harold David (Opal) Rumple; a daughter, Carol L. (Ricky) Bettis; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
