Wayne Johnson

Wayne Johnson, 82, of Plainfield, passed away February 23, 2014. He was born July 30, 1931 to the late Sidney R. and Maude E. (Stiviers) Johnson. He was a machinist for the Chrysler Corporation for 30 years retiring in 1986. Wayne is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. (Schwier) Johnson; two sons, Daniel W. (Charlene) and Larry D. (Linda) Johnson; four daughters, Gail Y. (Jim) Smith; Rebecca L. (Roger-deceased) Ping, Cindy Lynn Helton, and Heidi J. (Mark) Irving; 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday February 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
