Robert Francis Gootee Jr.

Robert Francis Gootee Jr., 63, of Plainfield, passed away January 17, 2014. He was born September 25, 1950 in Indianapolis to Robert and Marjorie Gootee Sr. Bob was a US Air Force veteran. He was a former owner of Capital City Fence and most recently employed at Larry Good Homes. He was a former member of the Board of Directors for Sycamore Services. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 22, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Tuesday, January 21, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Robert Francis Gootee Sr and Linda Campbell. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gootee; sons, Brad and Brandon Gootee; mother, Marjorie Gootee; brothers, Glenn (Gayle) and Kip (Penny) Gootee; sisters, Peggy (Mark) Partlow and Vickey Gootee; granddaughter, Dajah Floyd; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; friends, Robin and Tisha. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sycamore Services.
