John R. Huizenga

John R. Huizenga, 66, of Mooresville, passed away January 12, 2014. He was born March 9, 1947 to the late Elmer and Dorothy (Saxma) Huizenga in Watseka, IL. He was a graduate of the University of Illinois. He was a mechanical engineer for Eli Lilly & Co for 34 years retiring as Senior Project Engineer in 2007. John is survived by his wife, Linda (Van Egmond) Huizenga; two daughters, Anita N. Huizenga and Sandra K. Jarvis; two brothers, Kenneth and Dale Huizenga; a sister, Eleanor Harris; and three grandchildren, Oscar Huizenga, Danielle and Korva Jarvis. He was a member of the Plainfield Bible Church, (752 Dan Jones Road) where funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 16, 2014. Visitation will be in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield on Wednesday, January 15 from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, and on Thursday from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will be in North Branch Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainfield Bible Church building fund or Sheltering Wings (www.shelteringwings.org).
