Daniel L. Ferguson, 81, of Plainfield, passed away January 9, 2014. He was born January 6, 1933 to the late George and Hazel (Sweat) Ferguson in Chicago, IL. He retired after 20 years from the US Coast Guard as a Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1969. He was a member of the Plainfield Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Judy A. (Grubb) Ferguson; two sons, Daniel Wayne (Sharon) and Ivan (Nina) Ferguson; a daughter, Diana (Rob) Noren; a step-son, Joseph (Claire) Hollenbaugh; two step-daughters, Jill A. (Richard) Schroering and Tricia (Jeremy) Matis; a sister, Gerda Cook; 17 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Nadine (Hall) Ferguson. Memorial services are planned later in the State of Washington where he will be interred at Wilson Memorial Cemetery in Spokane, WA.
