Jerry L. Chastain

Jerry L. Chastain, 58, of Plainfield, IN. passed away on June 19, 2008. He was born January 24, 1950 in Salem, IN. to the late Hobart and Harriett Chastain. He retired in 2002 from the Plainfield Correctional Facility as an educator. Prior to that he had been a math teacher, athletic director, vice - principal and principal. He received his B.S. and Master's degrees from Indiana State University and his E.D.S. from Ball State University. Visitation will be Sunday, June 22 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm In Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. A funeral service will be Monday, June 23 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Chastain; daughter, Jennifer Chastain; son, Jonathan Chastain; brothers, John and Robert Chastain; sister, Eleanor Hauser
