Martha N. (Nana) Lanman

Martha N. (Nana) Lanman, 91, of Plainfield, passed away January 5, 2014 in Plainfield Health Care. She was born in Mt. Vernon, IL to the late Joe and Eva Mae Latham. She was a 1939 graduate of Princeton High School. She was a legal secretary in Evansville and later a title clerk for Bud Wolf Chevrolet for 15 years retiring in 1990. Nana was a member of Northwood Christian Church and the Oasis Center. She was well known for knitting hats at St. Vincent Hospital for premature babies. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 11, at 5:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:00 pm until service time. She was preceded in death by her brother, William J. Latham. Survivors include her daughter, Eva Jo Hall; grandchildren, Melissa Jo Dunn and Priscilla Hall; great grandchildren, Rebecca Jones Dunn, Joseph and Abigail Dunn. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association.
