Marie Hopkins

Marie Hopkins, 98, of Plainfield, passed away December 25, 2013. She was born December 8, 1915 in Morgan County, IN to the late Alex and Clara Chandler. She was a homemaker. Her memberships include Plainfield Friends Meeting, Naomi Rebekah Lodge # 115, where she was a past Noble Grand, past President of Wa-Pe-Ke-Way Chapter of DAR, past District Deputy of District 19, Ladies Auxillary of Harris # 400 and Fairfield Home Economics Club. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, William Hopkins and daughter, Nancy Copeland. Funeral services will be Friday, January 3, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Thursday, January 2, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her daughters, Elaine (Bob) Schultz and Anna Hopkins; son-in-law Jim Copeland; grandchildren, Sandi Copeland Thurlo and Jeff Copeland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Plainfield Friends Meeting.
