Annabel Smith

Annabel Smith, 96, of Plainfield, passed away December 25, 2013. She was born November 19, 1917 to the late William and Ethel (Padgett) Brock in Jasonville, IN. She was a custodian for Van Buren Elementary School in Plainfield for 30 years retiring in 1997. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield. Annabel is survived by a son, Charles K. Smith; a daughter, Orlena M. Smith; a half-brother, William C. Hulett; 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harmon Smith. Funeral services will be at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 4:00 pm until service time at 5:00 pm.
