Herschel C. Crouse

Herschel C. Crouse, 84, of Danville, passed away December 17, 2013. He was born July 6, 1929 to the late Cornelius and Mildred (Orman) Crouse in Cory, IN. He was a US Army veteran. In the early 60's he owned and operated a Sinclair Station in Avon. He later worked as a diesel mechanic for Trans-Con Freight Lines for 20 years until 1994. He was a member of Teamsters Local 135. Herschel is survived by three sons, Mark (Rita-Lyle), Allen (Carol) and Michael Crouse; three daughters, Patty (Seth) Sharp, Sandra (Michael) Smith, and Lisa (Jim) Morrow; a step-daughter, Cindy (Joe) Schober; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Friday, December 27, 2013 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 4:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. A committal service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield on Saturday, December 28 at 10:00 am.
