Charles W. Winters

Charles W. Winters, 85, of Plainfield, passed away May 31, 2008. He was born January 20, 1923 to the late Charles H. and Mary E. Swearingen Winters in Cisne, IL He was a railroad engineer for over 30 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church, 9838 S. County Road 0, where services will be held on Tuesday June 3, 2008 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday June 2. Entombment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown. He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Totten) Winters; three step-daughters, Mary Larkin, Carla Marvel, and Linda Dickey; a step-son, Bert Marvel; a niece and three nephews; 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
