James P. Horn

James P. Horn, 87, of Plainfield, passed away September 23, 2013 in Meadow Lakes Nursing Home in Mooresville, IN. He was born in Fulton, KY to the late Everett and Chessie Horn. James retired from Sheet Metal Workers Union #20 after several years. He was a former member of Plainfield F&AM #653 and Indianapolis Scottish Rite. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, at 10:00 am in Plainfield Baptist Church(1575 Reeves Road), of which he was a charter member. Visitation will also be held at the church on Friday, September 27, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Mae Horn. Survivors include his daughters, Yvonne (Lloyd) Owens, Cindy (Jim) Gaines, Tricia Sloan and Denise (Marc) Wallace; sister, Willie Batts; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church's playground fund.
