Dorothy L. Turner

Dorothy L. Turner, 92, of Plainfield, passed away September 1, 2013. She was born January 4, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late Earl and Laura Ann Hoffman. She retired in 1989 after 25 years in the executive offices of L.S. Ayres payroll department. Her memberships include Bridgeport United Methodist Church and Cataract Yacht Club. She was an avid boater and bowler. Dorothy was a very devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Turner, step-son, Mark Turner and sister, Mary Thiesing. A Memorial Service will be Friday, September 6, at 6:30 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, with visitation from 4:00 pm until service time. A private burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Scott (Jennifer) Turner; daughter, Susan (Larry) Nielsen; grandchildren, David Roessler, Whitney Nielsen and Marc (Dawn) Turner; great grandchildren, Jacob and McKenzie Turner
