Mark D. Wendt

Mark D. Wendt, 51, of Indianapolis, IN. passed away May 1, 2008. He was born March 2, 1957 in Franklin, IN to Everett F. and Norma Grace (Camden) Wendt. He had worked for Ameritech Advertising Services for 20 years. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1975 and Indiana University in 1979 where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Mark was an avid sports enthusiast and the most knowledgeable sports fan in Indiana University history. Private burial will be Monday, May 5 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, IN. Public visitation will be Sunday, May 4 from 2:00 - 6:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett F. Wendt. Survivors include his children, Michael J. and Anna G. Wendt; mother, Norma Grace Wendt; sister, Carol M. Wendt; aunt, Betty Barding; cousin, Mary Ann (Kim) Adams; special friend, Linda Ridenour, as well as many other wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
