Harold E. Pippen

Harold E. Pippen, 80 of Avon, IN. passed away April 28, 2008. He was born June 20, 1927 in Tuscola, IL. to the late Charles and Lizzie Pippen. He retired in 1984 after 34 1/2 years as a driver with Ryder/P.I.E. Trucking. His memberships include the First General Baptist Church, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge # 162, Bridgeport Order of Eastern Star # 513, where he was a past patron and the Indianapolis Scottish Rite. Harold was also a WW II Navy veteran. A graveside service will be Wednesday, April 30 at 11:00 am E.D.T in Livingston IL. Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 29 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Survivors include his wife, Doris C. Pippen; son, James A. (Candy) Pippen; daughter, Karen J. (Jack) Kowalczyk; sister, Ruth Foster; grandchildren, Raechel, David and Mark (Jennifer) Kowalczyk.
