Rita Mae Hufferd

Rita Mae Hufferd, 87, of Plainfield, passed away August 12, 2013. She was born in Carthage, IN, October 20, 1925 to the late Melvin "Bill" and Margaret Henley. She worked for International Harvester, Chevrolet Body and Indiana Employment Security Division. She was a 1943 graduate of Morristown High School. Her memberships include Plainfield Christian Church, Pollyanna Homemakers Club of Plainfield and Morristown O.E.S. #316. Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday, August 16, at 11:00 am in Arlington (IN) East Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill" Hufferd; grandson, Aaron Hufferd and sister, VeraLee Lain. Survivors include children, Gary (Linda), Jay, Mark Hufferd and Diane (John) Kramer; sister, Mary Lou Wood; grandchildren, Nathan (Jessica), Zachary, Lindsay, Erika and Jarrett Hufferd, Lauren and Logan Kramer; niece, Melanie (Keith) Musser; great niece and nephew, Abigail and David Musser; brother-in-law, Hubert Hufferd.
