Evelyn Z. Lavrenz

Evelyn Z. Lavrenz, 102, passed away June 29, 2013. She was born April 9, 1911 in Miami County, IN to the late Andrew and Stella Shrock. She was a graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing and the University of Michigan. She retired as a R.N. in 1960 from Duke Memorial Hospital in Peru, IN. She was a member of Plainfield United Methodist Church. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lavrenz and siblings, Miriam Rody, Cleta Berry, Robert and Ethan Shrock, Dorothea Littler and Virginia "Toodie" Shrock. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 12:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Indianapolis. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Robert Shrock, Paul Berry, Yolanda Snyder, Wendolyn Shrock, Sandra Hellwege, Alma Sue Farmer and John Littler; several great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
