Jack E. Kennedy

Jack E. Kennedy, 81, of Plainfield, passed away June 29, 2013. He was born in Frankfort, IN on October 10, 1931 to the late Neal and Dorothy Kennedy. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Jack worked for Allison Transmission as a supervisor, retiring in 1987. He also worked part time at Avis Car Rental after retirement. Jack was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, Indianapolis Shrine and the American Legion. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call Tuesday, July 2, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Entombment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kennedy. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Kennedy; son, Bryan Kennedy; sister, Shirley Larsen; grandchildren, Neil (Sara), Maureen and Phillip Kennedy; great grandchildren, Madelyn and Sean Kennedy.
