Edna Violet Barker

Edna V. (Robb) O'Neal Barker, 97, of Plainfield, IN passed away June 8, 2013. She was born January 28, 1916 in Wentworth, MO to the late Wade and Grace (Duvalt) Robb. She was a graduate of Pierce City High School in Pierce City, MO. She married Richard O'Neal on September 23, 1938 and Warren Barker on September 10, 1955. Edna had worked for 25 years as a clerk for several companies with Factory Claims in Plainfield as her last job, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Edna was preceded in death by husbands, Richard O"Neal and Warren Barker; children, Patricia Ann English and Beverly Ruth Burnette; siblings, Helen Spangler and Mary Catherine Mott. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Friday, June 14, from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include her grandchildren, Ron and Debbie Burnette; brother, Jim Robb; twin great granddaughters; 2 nieces; 4 nephews; step-son, Jim Barker; 3 step-grandchildren, Richard, Charles and Michael; 7 step-great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
