Ruth Ellen Simmons

Ruth Ellen Simmons, 94, of Plainfield, passed away May 20, 2013. She was born July 15, 1918 to the late Claude and Margaret (Stierwalt) Johnson in Stilesville, IN. She was a homemaker and a member of the Plainfield Christian Church. She is survived by a son, Mervin D. (Mary Ann) Simmons; two daughters, Charlotte Ann (Dan) Johnsen, and Annice Carol (Darrell) Wright; a sister, Lucille Smith; 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert B. Simmons. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 23. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery, Belleville.
