Catherine L. Corn

Catherine L. Corn, 84, of Avon, passed away April 21, 2013. She was born March 22, 1929 in Evansville, IN to the late Bert and Bettie Parker. Catherine started her working career in Evansville at Meade Johnson. She also worked as a sales clerk for William H Block and she retired as a cafeteria worker and a bus driver for Indianapolis Public Schools. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart Corn. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at Washington Park North Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Jeff) Gossmann; sister, Beverly Vaughn; grandchildren, Austin, Nathan and Kayla Gossmann. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Gathering Together.
