John R. Baskin Jr.

John R. Baskin Jr, 66, of Brazil, formerly of Plainfield passed away April 20, 2013 in his residence. He was born March 7, 1947 in Urbana, IL to the late John R. and Frances Baskin Sr. John was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a cook for Stacy's Restaurant for several years. Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Graveside services with full military honors will be Friday, April 26, at 1:00 pm in Marion National Cemetery. Survivors include his son, James (Yvette) Baskin; daughter, Laura Baskin; sisters, Judy Sterrett and Jane Reed; 7 grandchildren.
