William J. Clayton

William J. Clayton, 88, of Plainfield, passed away April 8, 2013. He was born June 21, 1924 in Indianapolis, IN. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Brancenia (Millie) Clayton; sons, Tom (Heidi) and John (El) Clayton; daughter, Pam (Jim) Sheads; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bill was a service technician for J & J Distributors for 28 years retiring in 1986. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, wood working and spending time with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his son Steven Alan Clayton and brothers Roy and Robert Clayton. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m. in Clermont Christian Church of which he was a member. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 10, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
