Carl E. McNeely

Carl E. McNeely, Tucson, AZ, formerly of Plainfield, passed away March 29, 2013. He was born May 2, 1927 in Greencastle, IN to the late Leonidas and Sallie McNeely. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Carl retired in 1988 after 40 years as an engineering technician for Allison Gas Turbine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. McNeely. He was a life member of Mooresville American Legion Post 103 and a founding member of Mooresville Optimist Club. Carl was also involved as a scout leader for Hoosier Trail Council. Graveside services will be Thursday, April 4, at 11:00 am in Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle. Survivors include his wife, Betty McNeely; son, Michael (Sharon) McNeely, daughter, Deborah (Robert) Hartigan; step-daughter, Julie Sherlund; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
