Edward E. Merideth, 85, of Plainfield, passed away February 29, 2008. He was born September 12, 1922 to the late Elvin and Ruby (Scott) Merideth in Hall, IN. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. Ed worked for U.S. Rubber in Indianapolis as an accountant for 15 years. He later worked for the M.S. Cassen LLC for 11 years. He was a member of the Ben Davis Christian Church, the VFW #1111 in Mooresville, and the American Legion Post 0325 in Mooresville where he served as past commander. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Storie) Merideth; a daughter, Sherry Bodell; two step-sons, Robert J. and Donald L. Phillips; 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Monday March 3, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday March 2. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, in Hall. Contributions may be made to the Ben Davis Christian Church.
