Austin E. Crouse, 83, of Danville, passed away February 24, 2008. He was born October 10, 1924 to the late Alvie and Gladys Crouse in Clay City, IN. He retired as line foreman with Link Belt in 1981 after having worked there for over 33 years. He was a US Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He was a member of Kingsway Christian Church and the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #132. He is survived by his wife, Vera M. (Young) Crouse; three sons, Larry J., Michael L. , and Rodney L. Crouse; four step sons, Charles Jr, Danny Joe, Gary, and Timothy Rosier; a step daughter, Patricia Ann Mize; four brothers, Hubert, Ray, Carl, and Donald Crouse; 7 grandchildren, 26 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 18 step great grandchildren. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown at 11:00 am on Wednesdy February 27, 2008. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday February 26 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
