Martha Alice Gill

Martha Alice O'Connor Gill, 83, of Clayton, passed away February 24, 2008. She was born July 21, 1924 to the late Marvin and Ethel O'Connor in Carlisle County, KY. She was an assembly line worker at Western Electric for 15 years retiring in 1974. She was a member of Emmanuel Church in Greenwood and also attended the Grace Pointe Nazarene Church in Avon. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Gill, and a daughter, Janice D. Bryan. She is survived by two sons, Charlie B. (Wilma) Gill, and Ronnie Gill; a daughter, Kathy (Ted) Smyth; a brother, Tom O'Connor; three sisters, Theresa Jeffries, Anna Mae Pace, and Lucille Clark; 12 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Thursday February 28, 2008 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday February 27. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
