Dale Robert "Bob" Smith

Dale Robert "Bob" Smith, 68, of Stilesville, passed away January 25, 2013. He was born September 20, 1944 to James R. and Mary Lee (Love) Smith. He worked as a jet engine tester for Allisons Division of General Motors for 31 years retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Stilesville Christian Church. Bob taught Sunday School Youth Group and coached Little League. He was a collector of trains and enjoyed restoring old cars. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and traveling to the State of Michigan with his wife. Bob is survived by his wife, Carol Ann (Topie) Smith; three sons, Jeffrey (Angela), Timothy (Janet) and Larry Smith; a brother, James (Linda) Smith; 4 grandchildren, Christopher (Lindsey), Colin (Katherine), and Dylan Smith and Nadean (Clint) Himsel; and two great grandchildren, Bristol Himsel and Cooper Smith. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday, January 29 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
