Charlene M. Shumaker

Charlene M. Shumaker, 87, of Plainfield, passed away January 11, 2013. She was born May 16, 1925 in Bloomington, IN to the late Charles and Mary (Barlow) McClain. She received her BS degree from Purdue University and her Masters degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. She was a homemaker and a librarian at the Cleveland Public Library. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard B. (Dick) Shumaker and two siblings, Joseph Warner McClain and twin sister Geraldine McClain. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 16, at 1:00 PM in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Craig Shumaker; grandchildren Adam, Allison and Brad Shumaker; great grandchild, Anna Vera Lageras.
