Mary B. Western

Mary B. Western, 87, of Moultrie, GA, formerly of Cartersburg, passed away January 3, 2013. She was born January 11, 1925 to the late Richmond H. and Floy (Ireland) Goff in Ashburn, GA. She worked at Diamond Chain for 25 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Hazelwood Baptist Church and a lifetime member and past Worthy Matron of the Cartersburg Order of the Eastern Star #519. Mary is survived by three sons, Ernest Charles (Edith), Tony (Sandra), Marty (Janet) Western; two daughters, Georgia (Max) Kittle and Nancy Bentley; a sister, Thara Hamon; 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Earnest Western, a son-in-law, Dan Bentley, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday, January 7, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg.
