Richard Perko

Richard Perko, 88, of Plainfield, passed away December 26, 2012. He was born February 5, 1924 to the late John and Fannie (Mantel) Perko in Johnson City, IL. He was a US Army Air Corps veteran of WWII where he was a fighter pilot and received a Purple Heart,and a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a Air Traffic Controller for the FAA for 22 years retiring in 1981. Richard is survived by his wife, Lois Ann (Blanke) Perko; a son, Greg R. (Lou Ann) Perko; a daughter, Nancy J. (William) Bussing; and three grandchildren, Sandy and John Perko and Erich Bussing. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 9201 E. County Road 100 N, Avon, and where friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
