Evelyn M. Newby

Evelyn M. Newby, 86, of Plainfield, passed away December 20, 2012 in her home. She was born October 9, 1926 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Mildred (King) Moss. Evelyn was a homemaker. She did volunteer work for Harborside Nursing Home, Vinewood Nursing Home and Mill Run Retirement Center. She was a member of Center Community Church (5938 S. Cr. 700 E.) where a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 24, at 10:00 am. Visitation will also be at the church on Sunday, December 23, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Plainfield. She was preceded in death by her son Glenn E. Newby Jr. Survivors include her husband, Glenn E. Newby Sr.; daughter, Linda Jean Ginn; sister, Jean Parker; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
