Allen Gaines Jr.

Allen Gaines Jr., 83, of Plainfield, passed away October 4, 2012. He was born August 23, 1929 to the late Allen Sr., and Ollie (Jeffries) Gaines in Aurora, IL. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He owned and operated Al's Paint and Body Shop in Plainfield from 1984 until he retired in 2009. He is survived by three sons, Larry A. (Pam), Dennis W. (Sharon), and Eddie B. (Sherry) Gaines; a brother, Carl Gaines; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. (Sweet) Gaines, and a son, Gary M. Gaines. Memorial services will be at 1:30 pm Monday October 8, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 11:30 am until service time at 1:30 pm.
