Georgia Allen Langdon

Georgia Allen Langdon, 89, of Cartersburg, passed away on August 26, 2012 with her family at her side at the Countryside Meadows Care Center in Avon. She was born May 22, 1923 in Lafayette, TN to the late Dell and Flora Nunaley. She leaves behind Cecil, her husband of 72 years. Georgia was preceded in death by sisters, Fran, Iola, Katherine, Jean and brother Dell. Survivors include children, Geri Conway (Richard), Jim Langdon (Penny), Kyla Doughty, Gail Feldman (Bill), and Jan Leach (Doug); 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Meinig. Mrs. Langdon retired in 1982 from General Motors Stamping Plant. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 30, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield where friends may call on Wednesday, August 29 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Georgia will be laid to rest in Spring Hill Cemetery, Cartersburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, or the Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice at 7 Manor Drive, Danville, IN 46122.
