Willard Leroy Adams

Willard Leroy Adams, 69, of Plainfield, passed away August 12, 2012. He was born July 20, 1943 in Levee, KY to the late James and Lillie Adams Sr. He was a 1961 graduate of Ben Davis High School and received his undergraduate and Masters degrees from Indiana University. He was a US Army veteran. He was a reporter for over 45 years with UPI wire service and Mooresville Times Newspaper. He was a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association and the Nature Conservancy. Funeral services will be Friday, August 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery, Whitestown, IN. Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Adams; brother, James (Ed) Adams; as well as a loving uncle, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia S. Morrell. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
