Pastor Andy Arnett Sr.

Pastor Andy Arnett Sr., 77, of Plainfield, passed away July 31, 2012. He was born November 9, 1934 to the late Steve and Hulda May (Couch) Arnett in Saul, KY. He married Jo Anne McKamey on January 23, 1954 and she survives. Andy owned 3 convenient stores called "Little Giant Foods" before going into the ministry full time. He was the founder of the Cathedral of Prayer Baptist Church in 1975, and was the minister there for 38 years up to the present year 2012. He was also a member of the "Sword of the Lord". Besides his wife Jo Anne, Andy is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Lynn (Jeff) Tutterow of Stilesville; two sons, Andy (Cheryl) Arnett Jr. and Charles Steven Arnett, all of Plainfield; 7 grandchildren, Angel, Amber, Jeffery, Brittany, Christian, Chaz and Steven; 8 great grandchildren, Connor, Tatum, Jett, Tenley, Karlee, Maelynn, Steven, and Autum; two half sisters, Loretta Reimers of Grove City, PA, and Betty Jean Russ of Morgantown, KY: and a half brother Walter Lee Embry of Morgantown, KY. He was preceded in death by his brother Burchel Arnett. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Friday, August 3, 2012 in the Catherdral of Prayer Baptist Church, 8446 E. County Road 700 S, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 2:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm at the church. A private burial will be held at Clayton Cemetery.
