Lema M. Anderson

Lema M. (Price) Anderson, 93, of Hazelwood, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 14, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born September 3, 1918 to the late George M. and Susie (Smiley) Price in Pulaski County, KY. She married her sweetheart, Marshall on September 4, 1934. They moved to Hazelwood, IN in November 1936. She was a homemaker and a devoted farm wife. She was a member of the Plainfield Church of Christ and the Hazelwood Community Circle. Lema is survived by three children, Wilma (Kermit) Sullivan, Agnes (Tom) Abell, and Jerry (Barbara) Anderson; was loved as "Granny" by 5 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Marshall (2000), and her brothers, Ray (1981), Ernest (1990), and Ira (1996). Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Tuesday, July 17 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery. Lema's family and many friends will miss her kind and generous heart, her happy smile, as well as her delicious pies, and beautiful hand-made embroidered gifts. Many lives have been touched by her loving and thoughtful hand-written cards.
