Robert L. McGinnis

Robert L. McGinnis, 82, of Plainfield, passed away June 13, 2012. He was born November 27, 1929 to the late Keith N. and Grace R. (Arnett) McGinnis in Monroe County, IN. He retired from the Indiana State Police Department in 1978 after 21 years. He then went to work for the Indiana Department of Transportation as a State Investigator for 18 years retiring from there in 1994. He was a member of Hope United Presbyterian Church. Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. (Acuff) McGinnis; a son, Kenneth A. (Sherry) McGinnis; two daughters, Pamela J. (Harold) Cooper and Nancy E. (Barth) Fisher; and 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield on Wednesday June 20, 2012 at 11:00 am. There will be no calling. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Wheeler Missions.
