Marilyn E. Stanley, 80, of Plainfield, passed away June 11, 2012. She was born September 27, 1931 to the late George and Challis (Johnson) Weed in Indianapolis, IN.
She worked as a real estate agent from 1990-2012 with various real estate offices, including Woody and Associates. She was a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting, the Plainfield Church Federation, served as treasurer for the Weekday Religious Education (WRE) for 25 years and played the piano for the residents of the Plainfield Healthcare Center from 1986-2011. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Everett "Junior" Stanley; three sons Stan Alan (Kathy), Jon E. and Mark E. (Jo Lynne) Stanley; a daughter, Elizabeth A. (Tom) Fisher; a brother, Alan Weed; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield., where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
