Wilbur E. Prose Jr., 68, of Plainfield, passed away June 4, 2012. He was born November 8, 1943 to the late Wilbur E Sr., and Mae Pauline (Bain) Prose in Terre Haute, IN. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a former firefighter in Terre Haute and later became a system engineer for Lucent Technologies for 30 years retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Humbolt Masonic Lodge and American Legion both in Terre Haute, and also a volunteer for IOPO. He loved taking pictures and was skilled at woodworking. Wilbur leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Carolyn A. (Hiatt) Prose; a son, Tom L. (Robin) Prose; a daughter, Annie M. Prose; a sister, Paula Peo; and three grandchildren, Cody, Glenn and Gage Prose. The family expresses their deep appreciation to all our family and friends throughout this journey. A special thanks to the 7 North Unit and Yellow Rose Unit at Methodist Hospital. We love you Dad and you will be greatly missed. Funeral services for Wilbur will be at 10:30 am Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday, June 10 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
