David W. Shaw

David W. Shaw, 77, of Plainfield, passed away May 23, 2012. He was born May 27, 1934 to the late Thomas M. and Alice (Thompson) Shaw in Muncie, IN. He was a 1953 graduate of Ben Davis High School. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a road officer for the Speedway Police Department for 20 years retiring as Lieutenant. He also worked as head of security for Cinergy in Plainfield for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. (Meador) Shaw; and a sister, Phyllis Shaw. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Thomas Shaw, and a sister Helen Quick. Funeral services will be held at the Plainfield Bible Church, 752 N. Dan Jones Road in Plainfied at 1:00 pm. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Visitation will also be at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
