Arnold Wade Goodwin, 89, of Indianapolis, formerly of Plainfield, passed away April 15, 2012. He was born January 2, 1923 in Tecumseh, IN to the late Fred and Ruby Goodwin. He graduated from Fayette Township High School in New Goshen, IN. Upon graduation he joined the Army and served in WW II with the 8th Air Force in England. In 1950 he graduated from Butler University. Arnold retired in 1986 after 33 years with Marathon Oil Company as an administrative assistant. His memberships include St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge # 687 and Indianapolis Scottish Rite. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Tuesday, April 17, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by wives, Wanda M. (Lloyd) Goodwin and Bette M. (Jacks) Goodwin. Survivors include a son, Dale (Deanna) Goodwin; a daughter, Carol Goodwin (Dixie Wilkins); step sons, George (Su An ), Doug and Ron Jacks; step daughters, Camilla Adams and Linda (Mike) Sexton; grandchildren, Melissa and Erik Goodwin; step grandchildren, Donnie (Julie), David, Danny and Daryl Jefferson, Michael, Tammy and Kevin Jacks, Bette (Donald) Wagner and Sharissa (Mike) Ulrey; several step great grandchildren.
