Darrell Nickolaus went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2012 at the age of 75 in Danville, Indiana. Darrell was born in Stockham, NE on June 29, 1936. His parents were Emil Nickolaus and Gladys Mahaney Nickolaus, now deceased. Darrell married Mary Parvis on June 10, 1956.
Until 1977, Darrell was a missionary in Venezuela with The Evangelical Alliance Mission. He was Chairman of the Missions Department (1977-1997) at Calvary Bible College in Kansas City and was KLJC Chief Engineer. He continued his radio engineering focus as an independent consultant. His fondest achievement was to build a Christian radio station in Timbuktu, Mali in 2007.
Darrell Nickolaus is survived by his wife Mary Nickolaus who lives in Danville, IN. His two children are Ruth Nickolaus Wright (Timothy) of Rochester, IL and Daniel Nickolaus (Pamela) of Plainfield, IN. He is survived by five grandchildren.
Darrell's funeral is at Grace Bible Church of Stillwell, KS on March 28 at 10:30am. The church is at 19855 S Antioch Road, Bucyrus, KS. Visitation is also at Grace Bible Church on March 27 at 6-8pm. Interment will be at the Stockham Cemetary in Stockham, NE at 10am on March 29.
